TAG launches ‘online university’
TAG, the industry’s youth employment charity today launched TAG University, an online resource (tagworks.org) designed to help ambitious professionals develop the core business skills necessary to further their careers and add value to their workplace. Developed in partnership with top fitness business consultants, The Fit Biz Builders, the online university will provide anyone who wants to enhance their career open access to foundation courses in core business disciplines such as finance/accounting, sales, marketing, operations. It will also include tips, hints, guides and regular blogs from experts and business guru’s and role models.
Developed specifically for young professionals, the comprehensive platform will be open to anyone who wants to commence their business education with a foundation programme in ‘the business of business’. It will help commercial novices learn more about business disciplines including business planning, the rudiments of marketing and an understanding the importance of cash flow . With dynamic content and clear design the TAG University will help young people who either want to embark on their own venture, or seek a more profound understanding of business in order to help them realise their management potential.
TAG focuses on 18-24 year olds who have been long term unemployed. It works closely with employers in the health and fitness industry to give young jobseekers a chance to break their cycle of deprivation and disadvantage by providing them with qualifications, work experience and ultimately employment. TAG University is an online resource which is designed to enhance this cohort’s employability and give the next generation of entrepreneurs in the fitness industry a kick-start into business.
The Fit Biz Builders is a specialist team which focuses on developing business, sales, marketing and web skills of ambitious fitness professionals. The company helps, mentors, and advises people looking to develop their businesses in the fitness industry.
